Stacey Lee Webber x Four Finger Press
Stacey Lee Webber’s latest print, "Lincoln’s Costume Party," transforms an uncut sheet of U.S. currency into a bold, multi-layered silkscreen. Created in collaboration with Four Finger Press, the piece merges digital design with meticulous hand-finishing to produce a striking collectible work. Part of Webber’s ongoing "Costume Party" series, this print playfully reimagines Abraham Lincoln in classic Halloween costumes, continuing her exploration of historical figures through a whimsical yet thought-provoking lens. Produced at Four Finger Press, located in the historic Globe Dye Works building in Philadelphia, the print was a collaboration between Webber and studio owner Zak Parsons. Webber designed the piece digitally, using the same process she employs to plan her hand-stitched embroideries, but in this case, she translated the drawing into a multi-layered screen print. Each print features hand-finished details, including a gold gel pen on the cat’s collar and Webber’s signature in silver gel pen at the bottom, along with the edition number. Their work at Globe Dye Works showcases the synergy between printmaking and fine art. "Lincoln’s Costume Party" is a testament to their craftsmanship, blending digital design with traditional printing techniques to create a unique and collectible artwork.
