Galen Gibson-Cornell’s Acme transforms found street posters from Berlin into a sculptural interplay of structure and imagery. Zippers in the corners give the woven composition dimensionality, allowing it to extend from the wall rather than remain flat. The piece is visually divided—its upper half preserving fragments of urban posters, while the lower half shifts into a striking green and red checker pattern, within which a woven face subtly emerges. This balance of order and chaos, structure and fluidity, reflects the layered nature of city surfaces, where meaning is constantly constructed, obscured, and revealed over time.
