Lincoln Good Trip, Bad Trip captures the duality of a psychedelic experience, using the U.S. five-dollar bill as its canvas. The top half of the hand-stitched piece features Lincoln's portrait with clouds, bright rays, and a pink mushroom growing out of his head, symbolizing the euphoric and expansive side of a trip. In stark contrast, the bottom half flips Lincoln upside down, with spiders, fire, and a spiraling harness, representing the darker, chaotic elements of the psychedelic journey. This piece explores the unpredictable nature of altered states, blending historical imagery with vibrant, unsettling embroidery.
