In Summer Terrain, Stacey Lee Webber transforms ordinary pennies into a vibrant, globe-like composition, reflecting the warmth and energy of the season. This intricate piece features hand-cut penny heads and whole pennies, each enameled with vitreous glass in a palette inspired by summer’s rich hues. The interplay of color and metallic surfaces creates a dynamic sense of movement, evoking shifting landscapes and changing light. Mounted on soldered brass posts and set against a painted white wood backing, the composition is encased beneath an acrylic face, preserving its delicate yet striking design.
