Galen Gibson-Cornell’s Secrecy (Masque) is a sculptural fusion of urban material and identity, crafted from found street posters in Berlin and New York City. Part of his ongoing series of masks, this piece exists at the intersection of function and form—it can be worn or displayed as an object. Through his process of deconstructing and weaving, Gibson-Cornell reshapes fragments of the city’s visual language into a layered, textured surface that both reveals and obscures. Embedded with magnets for adaptability, Secrecy (Masque) explores themes of anonymity, transformation, and the ever-shifting nature of self in an urban landscape.
