Galen Gibson-Cornell’s YOU ARE NOW is a striking interplay of text, color, and fragmented imagery, woven from found street posters in Berlin. Dominated by rich emerald green, the piece features the phrase “YOU ARE NOW” alongside the partial figure of a person, both subtly distorted through the weaving process. The work captures the layered, transitory nature of urban environments, where messaging and imagery continuously shift and evolve. Through this meticulous reconstruction, Gibson-Cornell reimagines the city’s visual language, inviting viewers to contemplate presence, identity, and the ever-changing fabric of public space.
